Instructions for Use:

  1. Forward Voltage (VF):

    • Ensure the forward voltage does not exceed 2.0V to prevent damage.
    • Typical operating voltage is around 1.5V at 20mA.
  2. Reverse Breakdown Voltage (VBR):

    • The device should not be operated with reverse voltages exceeding 7V to avoid breakdown.
    • A typical safe reverse voltage is 5V.
  3. Forward Current (IF):

    • Continuous forward current should not exceed 50mA to ensure reliable operation.
    • For optimal performance, keep the forward current around 20mA.
  4. Peak Forward Current (IF(s)):

    • Peak forward current can be up to 100mA for short durations (10ms).
    • Avoid prolonged exposure to peak currents to prevent overheating.
  5. Reverse Current (IR):

    • Reverse current should be kept below 10μA to avoid degradation of performance.
    • Higher reverse currents can indicate potential issues with the device.
  6. Operating Temperature (Top):

    • The device can operate within a temperature range of -40°C to 100°C.
    • Ensure the operating environment does not exceed these limits to maintain reliability.
  7. Storage Temperature (Tstg):

    • Store the device in a temperature range of -40°C to 100°C to prevent damage.
    • Avoid extreme temperature fluctuations during storage.
  8. Handling and Installation:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical stress.
    • Follow standard ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions to prevent damage.
    • Ensure proper soldering techniques to avoid thermal shock.
  9. Testing:

    • Test the device under controlled conditions to verify its parameters.
    • Use appropriate test equipment to measure forward and reverse characteristics accurately.
