Instructions for Use:
Input Voltage (VIN):
- Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 2.5V to 36V.
- The input voltage should be at least 0.5V to 2.0V higher than the desired output voltage to ensure proper operation.
Output Voltage (VOUT):
- The output voltage can be adjusted from 1.2V to 35V using external resistors.
- Use the formula: ( V_ = 1.2 left(1 + fracright) ) where ( R_1 ) and ( R_2 ) are the feedback resistors.
Line Regulation:
- The line regulation is very low, typically between 0.001% and 0.01% per volt change in input voltage.
- This ensures stable output even with variations in input voltage.
Load Regulation:
- The load regulation is also very low, typically between 0.001% and 0.01% per milliamp change in load current.
- This ensures stable output even with changes in load current.
Dropout Voltage:
- The dropout voltage is the difference between the input and output voltages at which the regulator can no longer maintain regulation.
- It ranges from 0.5V to 2.0V, depending on the load current.
Quiescent Current (IQ):
- The quiescent current is the current consumed by the regulator when no load is present.
- It typically ranges from 1.5mA to 2.5mA.
Output Current (IOUT):
- The maximum output current is 1.5A, with typical values around 1.1A.
- Ensure that the load does not exceed this limit to avoid damage to the regulator.
Operating Temperature (TOPR):
- The operating temperature range is from -40°C to 85°C.
- Ensure the device operates within this range to prevent thermal stress.
Storage Temperature (TSTG):
- The storage temperature range is from -65°C to 150°C.
- Store the device in a dry, cool place to prevent damage.
Thermal Resistance (θJA):
- The thermal resistance from junction to ambient is typically 75°C/W.
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation to keep the junction temperature within safe limits.
Additional Notes:
- Always use appropriate capacitors on the input and output to filter noise and stabilize the regulator.
- For high current applications, consider adding a heatsink to improve thermal performance.
- Refer to the datasheet for detailed application circuits and further information.
