Instructions for Using J6910:
Input Connection:
- Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the VIN pin.
- Connect the negative terminal of the power supply to the GND pin.
Output Connection:
- Connect the load to the VOUT pin.
- Ensure the load is properly grounded to the GND pin.
Capacitors:
- Place a 10 μF electrolytic capacitor between VIN and GND close to the regulator to stabilize the input voltage.
- Place a 10 μF electrolytic capacitor between VOUT and GND close to the regulator to stabilize the output voltage.
Heat Dissipation:
- If the regulator is expected to handle high currents or operate in high ambient temperatures, consider using a heatsink to improve heat dissipation.
Overcurrent and Thermal Protection:
- The J6910 has built-in overcurrent and thermal shutdown protection. In case of excessive current or temperature, the regulator will shut down to prevent damage.
PCB Layout:
- Ensure that the PCB layout minimizes trace lengths and uses wide traces for power connections to reduce resistance and voltage drops.
Testing:
- Before connecting the load, test the output voltage with a multimeter to ensure it is within the expected range.
- Gradually increase the load current to verify stable operation and check for any overheating issues.
