Instructions for Use
Supply Voltage (VCC):
- Ensure the supply voltage is within the specified range of 2.7V to 5.5V. Exceeding this range can damage the device.
Output Voltage (VOUT):
- The LC7930 provides a fixed output voltage of 3.3V. No external components are required to set this voltage.
Quiescent Current (IQ):
- The quiescent current is typically 1.0μA, which is very low, making the device suitable for battery-powered applications.
Dropout Voltage (VDROPOUT):
- The dropout voltage is typically 0.2V, meaning the input voltage must be at least 0.2V higher than the output voltage for proper regulation.
Load Regulation:
- The load regulation is typically 0.1%, indicating minimal change in output voltage with varying load conditions.
Line Regulation:
- The line regulation is also typically 0.1%, indicating minimal change in output voltage with varying input voltage.
Thermal Shutdown:
- The device will automatically shut down if the temperature exceeds 160°C to prevent damage. It will resume operation once the temperature returns to a safe level.
Short-Circuit Protection:
- The LC7930 includes automatic recovery from short circuits, enhancing its reliability in various applications.
Operating Temperature Range:
- The device is designed to operate within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
Storage Temperature Range:
- Store the device in an environment where the temperature ranges from -65°C to 150°C to ensure long-term reliability.
Additional Notes:
- Ensure proper PCB layout to minimize noise and improve thermal performance.
- Use appropriate decoupling capacitors on the input and output to filter out high-frequency noise and stabilize the output.
