Instructions for Use

  1. Mounting and Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical damage.
    • Ensure proper mounting to prevent excessive stress on the leads.
  2. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the input (anode and cathode) to the control circuit.
    • Connect the output (collector and emitter) to the load circuit.
    • Ensure all connections are secure and free from shorts or open circuits.
  3. Forward Current:

    • Do not exceed the maximum continuous forward current (IF) of 30 mA.
    • For peak conditions, do not exceed 1 A for a pulse duration of 1 ms with a duty cycle of 1/10.
  4. Reverse Voltage:

    • Ensure the reverse voltage does not exceed the reverse breakdown voltage (VBR) of 7 V to prevent damage.
  5. Output Current:

    • The maximum output collector current (IC) is 10 mA. Exceeding this can lead to device failure.
  6. Isolation Voltage:

    • The device provides isolation up to 2500 Vrms for 1 minute at 50/60 Hz. Ensure this is not exceeded to maintain safety and performance.
  7. Temperature Considerations:

    • The storage temperature range is -40°C to 100°C.
    • The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. Ensure the device operates within these limits to avoid thermal damage.
  8. Testing and Verification:

    • Perform initial testing under controlled conditions to verify correct operation.
    • Regularly check for any signs of wear or damage and replace the device if necessary.
  9. Compliance and Standards:

    • Ensure the device complies with relevant safety and regulatory standards for your application.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure reliable and safe operation of the TLP626 optocoupler.
