Instructions for Using LT1469CN8
Power Supply Connection:
- Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the appropriate pin.
- Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (2.5V to 30V).
Output Configuration:
- Set the output voltage using external resistors for each channel. The formula to calculate the output voltage is: [ V_ = V_ left(1 + fracright) ] where ( V_ ) is typically 1.24V.
Bypass Capacitors:
- Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the input pin (VIN) to filter out noise and improve stability.
- Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor on each output pin (VOUT1, VOUT2) to ensure stable operation and reduce output ripple.
Thermal Considerations:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high output currents or high ambient temperatures.
- Use a heatsink if necessary to keep the junction temperature within the specified range (-40°C to 125°C).
Shutdown Function:
- To enable the shutdown function, connect the SHDN pin to ground to turn off the regulators.
- Connect the SHDN pin to VIN to turn on the regulators.
PCB Layout:
- Keep the layout compact and minimize trace lengths to reduce parasitic inductance and capacitance.
- Ensure proper grounding and decoupling to maintain stability and performance.
Testing and Verification:
- Test the output voltage and current under various load conditions to ensure the regulators meet the design specifications.
- Measure the dropout voltage and line/load regulation to verify the performance.
By following these instructions and parameters, you can effectively use the LT1469CN8 in your design.
