Instructions

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Connect the ground (GND) pin to a stable ground reference.
  2. Analog Inputs:

    • Connect analog signals to the differential or single-ended inputs within the range of 0V to VDD.
    • Use the internal reference voltage of 2.048V for accurate measurements.
  3. SPI Communication:

    • Connect the SPI interface pins (MISO, MOSI, SCLK, CS) to the corresponding pins on your microcontroller.
    • Set the chip select (CS) pin low to initiate communication.
    • Use the SCLK pin to clock data in and out of the device.
  4. Configuration:

    • Configure the device using the SPI interface to set parameters such as input range, conversion time, and output data rate.
    • Refer to the datasheet for specific configuration register settings.
  5. Data Conversion:

    • Initiate a conversion by writing to the appropriate register.
    • Read the conversion result from the data register after the conversion is complete.
  6. Power Management:

    • To reduce power consumption, use the power-down mode by setting the appropriate bit in the configuration register.
    • The device will consume approximately 0.1 μA in power-down mode.
  7. Temperature Considerations:

    • Ensure the operating temperature remains between -40°C and 85°C to maintain performance and reliability.
  8. Output Current:

    • Do not exceed the maximum output current of 100 mA to avoid damaging the device.
  9. Handling Static Electricity:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid damage from static electricity.
    • Use proper ESD protection when handling the device.
  10. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
    • Follow recommended storage and handling guidelines to ensure long-term reliability.
