Instructions for Using TPS2829DBVT
Power Supply Connection:
- Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the power supply.
- Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 1.2V to 5.5V.
Output Configuration:
- The output voltage (VOUT) should be set according to the application requirements, typically matching the input voltage or a desired lower voltage.
- Use appropriate decoupling capacitors on both VIN and VOUT to ensure stability and reduce noise.
Enable Control:
- Apply a voltage greater than 1.1V to the EN pin to enable the device.
- To disable the device, apply a voltage less than 0.9V to the EN pin.
Power Good Monitoring:
- The PG (Power Good) pin indicates when the output voltage is within the specified range.
- The PG pin will go high when VOUT is above the Power Good threshold (1.2V).
Thermal Management:
- Ensure proper heat dissipation, especially when operating at higher currents.
- Use a heatsink or thermal pad if necessary to maintain the operating temperature within the specified range.
Handling and Storage:
- Store the device in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
- Handle with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the device.
Testing:
- Before integrating the device into a circuit, test it with a simple load to verify proper operation.
- Measure the quiescent current and output voltage to ensure they meet the specifications.
