Instructions for Using SSM2165-2

  1. Supply Voltage:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VCC) is within the specified range of 4.5V to 5.5V.
    • Connect the VCC pin to the positive supply and GND pin to the ground.
  2. Input Connection:

    • Connect the differential inputs (IN+ and IN-) to your signal source.
    • Ensure the input impedance of 10kΩ is considered when designing the input circuit.
  3. Output Connection:

    • Connect the output (OUT) to the load or next stage in the signal chain.
    • The output impedance of 100Ω should be considered for proper load matching.
  4. Gain Setting:

    • The gain can be adjusted using external resistors. Refer to the datasheet for specific resistor values and configurations.
  5. Powering Up:

    • Apply power to the device after all connections are made.
    • Monitor the supply current to ensure it is within the typical value of 1.5mA per channel.
  6. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high temperatures.
    • Keep the operating temperature within the range of -40°C to 85°C.
  7. Signal Integrity:

    • To minimize distortion and noise, use shielded cables and keep signal paths as short as possible.
    • Ensure the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and total harmonic distortion (THD) meet the application requirements.
  8. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry environment within the storage temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
    • Handle with care to avoid damage to the pins and internal components.
  9. Testing:

    • Before finalizing the design, test the device under various conditions to ensure it meets performance specifications.
    • Use a signal generator and oscilloscope to verify the output signal quality and stability.
