Instructions for Use:
Handling:
- Handle the diode with care to avoid mechanical stress.
- Avoid touching the leads or body with bare hands to prevent static damage.
Soldering:
- Preheat the diode to 70°C to 90°C before soldering.
- Solder within 3 seconds at a temperature not exceeding 260°C.
- Allow the diode to cool naturally after soldering.
Mounting:
- Ensure proper heat dissipation by mounting the diode on a heatsink if operating near maximum current or temperature.
- Use appropriate clamping or securing methods to prevent mechanical strain on the leads.
Electrical Connections:
- Connect the anode (longer lead) to the positive side of the circuit.
- Connect the cathode (shorter lead, marked with a band) to the negative side of the circuit.
Storage:
- Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep in original packaging until ready for use to protect against static discharge.
Testing:
- Use a multimeter to test the diode for continuity.
- The diode should show a low resistance in one direction and high resistance in the reverse direction.
