Instructions for Use:

  1. Handling:

    • Handle the diode with care to avoid mechanical stress.
    • Avoid touching the leads or body with bare hands to prevent static damage.
  2. Soldering:

    • Preheat the diode to 70°C to 90°C before soldering.
    • Solder within 3 seconds at a temperature not exceeding 260°C.
    • Allow the diode to cool naturally after soldering.
  3. Mounting:

    • Ensure proper heat dissipation by mounting the diode on a heatsink if operating near maximum current or temperature.
    • Use appropriate clamping or securing methods to prevent mechanical strain on the leads.
  4. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the anode (longer lead) to the positive side of the circuit.
    • Connect the cathode (shorter lead, marked with a band) to the negative side of the circuit.
  5. Storage:

    • Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
    • Keep in original packaging until ready for use to protect against static discharge.
  6. Testing:

    • Use a multimeter to test the diode for continuity.
    • The diode should show a low resistance in one direction and high resistance in the reverse direction.
