Instructions for Use:
Power Supply Connection:
- Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the Vcc pin.
- Connect the ground terminal of the power supply to the GND pin.
Output Connection:
- Connect the load to the Vout pin.
- Ensure the load current does not exceed the maximum output current of 250 mA.
Capacitors:
- Place a 10 μF electrolytic capacitor between Vcc and GND close to the device to stabilize the input voltage.
- Place a 1 μF ceramic capacitor between Vout and GND close to the device to stabilize the output voltage.
Thermal Management:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high temperatures or high load currents.
- The thermal resistance (θja) is 50 °C/W, so consider a heatsink if necessary.
Operating Conditions:
- Operate within the specified temperature range (-40°C to 85°C).
- Store the device within the storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
Regulation:
- The device provides good load and line regulation, ensuring stable output voltage under varying conditions.
- The ripple rejection is 70 dB, effectively filtering out input voltage fluctuations.
Dropout Voltage:
- The dropout voltage is typically 0.3 V, allowing the device to maintain regulation even when the input voltage is close to the output voltage.
Quiescent Current:
- The quiescent current is typically 1.5 mA, which is relatively low, making the device suitable for battery-powered applications.
