Instructions for Use:
Supply Voltage (Vcc):
- Ensure the supply voltage is within the range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V.
- The typical operating voltage is 5.0 V.
Output Current (Iout):
- The device can provide up to 150 mA of continuous output current.
- Do not exceed the maximum output current to avoid damage.
Dropout Voltage (Vdo):
- The dropout voltage is typically 0.3 V at an output current of 150 mA and a supply voltage of 5.0 V.
- Ensure that the input voltage is at least 0.3 V higher than the desired output voltage.
Quiescent Current (Iq):
- The quiescent current is typically 2.5 μA when there is no load and the supply voltage is 5.0 V.
- This low quiescent current makes the device suitable for battery-powered applications.
Thermal Shutdown (TSD):
- The device will automatically shut down if the temperature exceeds 160°C to prevent thermal damage.
- Ensure proper heat dissipation to avoid reaching this temperature.
Operating Temperature (Topr):
- The device operates reliably between -40°C and 85°C.
- Avoid operating the device outside this temperature range to ensure stable performance.
Storage Temperature (Tstg):
- Store the device between -65°C and 150°C to prevent damage during storage.
Additional Notes:
- Capacitors:
- Use appropriate bypass capacitors (typically 10 μF) on the input and output to stabilize the supply and output voltages.
- PCB Layout:
- Ensure good thermal management by using a large copper area or heat sink if necessary.
- Polarity:
- Ensure correct polarity when connecting the device to avoid damage.
