Instructions

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the VCC pin to a 3.3V ± 5% power supply.
    • Ensure a stable power supply to avoid operational issues.
  2. Grounding:

    • Connect all GND pins to a common ground plane to ensure proper operation and reduce noise.
  3. Reset:

    • Apply a reset signal to the RSTB pin to initialize the device. The reset signal should be low for at least 100 ns.
  4. Configuration:

    • Use the MDC and MDIO pins to configure the device via the MII management interface.
    • Set the desired operating mode (10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX) and other parameters using the appropriate registers.
  5. Data Transmission:

    • Connect the TXD and RXD pins to the MII/RMII interface of the host controller.
    • Ensure that the TX_EN and RX_ER pins are properly connected for correct data transmission and reception.
  6. Wake-on-LAN:

    • To enable Wake-on-LAN, configure the appropriate register settings and ensure the device is in the correct power state.
  7. Auto MDI/MDIX:

    • The device automatically detects and configures the MDI/MDIX connection. No manual intervention is required.
  8. Flow Control:

    • Enable flow control by setting the appropriate register bits to manage data traffic efficiently.
  9. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation by providing a thermal pad or heatsink if necessary, especially during high-speed operations.
  10. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid ESD damage. Use proper ESD protection measures such as wrist straps and grounded work surfaces.

For detailed register settings and advanced configurations, refer to the datasheet provided by the manufacturer.
