Instructions for STRM6515

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the positive terminal of the input voltage to the VIN pin.
    • Connect the negative terminal of the input voltage to the GND pin.
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the load to the VOUT pin.
    • Ensure the load is within the specified output current range (1.5 A to 3 A).
  3. Capacitors:

    • Place a 10 μF ceramic capacitor between VIN and GND as close as possible to the device.
    • Place a 10 μF ceramic capacitor between VOUT and GND as close as possible to the device.
  4. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation by mounting the device on a heatsink if operating at high currents or in high ambient temperatures.
  5. Stability:

    • The device is stable with ceramic capacitors. Avoid using electrolytic capacitors without additional ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) management.
  6. Protection:

    • The device includes overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown features. Ensure these features are not triggered by operating within the specified limits.
  7. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool environment within the storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
  8. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical stress and electrostatic discharge (ESD). Use appropriate ESD protection measures.
