Instructions for STRM6515
Input Connection:
- Connect the positive terminal of the input voltage to the VIN pin.
- Connect the negative terminal of the input voltage to the GND pin.
Output Connection:
- Connect the load to the VOUT pin.
- Ensure the load is within the specified output current range (1.5 A to 3 A).
Capacitors:
- Place a 10 μF ceramic capacitor between VIN and GND as close as possible to the device.
- Place a 10 μF ceramic capacitor between VOUT and GND as close as possible to the device.
Thermal Management:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation by mounting the device on a heatsink if operating at high currents or in high ambient temperatures.
Stability:
- The device is stable with ceramic capacitors. Avoid using electrolytic capacitors without additional ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) management.
Protection:
- The device includes overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown features. Ensure these features are not triggered by operating within the specified limits.
Storage:
- Store the device in a dry, cool environment within the storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
