Instructions

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the 5V DC power supply to the VCC and GND terminals on the relay module.
  2. Control Signal:

    • Apply a 5V DC signal to the IN terminal to activate the relay. The relay will switch when the control signal is high (5V).
  3. Load Connection:

    • Connect the load to the COM (Common), NO (Normally Open), and NC (Normally Closed) terminals.
    • When the relay is activated, the COM terminal will connect to the NO terminal, and disconnect from the NC terminal.
    • When the relay is deactivated, the COM terminal will connect to the NC terminal, and disconnect from the NO terminal.
  4. Mounting:

    • Mount the relay module on a suitable surface using the mounting holes provided.
    • Ensure the module is installed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating.
  5. Safety Precautions:

    • Do not exceed the maximum switching voltage and current ratings.
    • Avoid connecting or disconnecting the load while the relay is energized.
    • Use appropriate fuses or circuit breakers to protect against overcurrent conditions.
    • Keep the relay away from water and other conductive materials to prevent short circuits.
  6. Testing:

    • Test the relay by applying the control signal and verifying that the load switches as expected.
    • Use a multimeter to check the continuity between the COM, NO, and NC terminals when the relay is activated and deactivated.
  7. Troubleshooting:

    • If the relay does not switch, check the power supply, control signal, and connections.
    • If the relay is buzzing or making unusual noises, ensure the load is within the rated specifications.
    • If the relay fails to operate after multiple cycles, it may be worn out and need replacement.
