Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure proper heat dissipation by mounting the diode on a heatsink if necessary.
    • Avoid mechanical stress on the leads during soldering and handling.
  2. Soldering:

    • Use a temperature-controlled soldering iron and keep the soldering time as short as possible (typically less than 3 seconds).
    • Soldering temperature should not exceed 260°C.
  3. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the cathode (K) to the positive side of the circuit and the anode (A) to the negative side.
    • Ensure that the reverse voltage does not exceed the specified breakdown voltage (VBR).
  4. Handling:

    • Handle with care to avoid damaging the diode.
    • Use anti-static precautions to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage.
  5. Storage:

    • Store in a dry, cool place within the specified storage temperature range.
    • Keep away from direct sunlight and sources of high humidity.
  6. Testing:

    • Use a multimeter or a diode tester to verify the functionality of the diode.
    • Check for continuity between the anode and cathode; there should be a low resistance in one direction and high resistance in the other.
  7. Safety:

    • Always follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with electrical components.
    • Do not exceed the maximum ratings specified in the datasheet to avoid damage to the diode.
