Instructions for Use

  1. Circuit Connection:

    • Connect the input terminal (pin 1) to the negative supply voltage.
    • Connect the output terminal (pin 2) to the load.
    • Connect the common terminal (pin 3) to ground.
  2. Capacitors:

    • Place a 0.33 μF capacitor between the input and ground to filter out high-frequency noise.
    • Place a 0.1 μF capacitor between the output and ground to stabilize the regulator.
  3. Heat Dissipation:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation by mounting the device on a heatsink if the power dissipation exceeds 1W.
    • Calculate the power dissipation using the formula: ( P = (V_{text} - V_{text}) times I_{text} ).
  4. Input Voltage:

    • The input voltage should be at least 2V higher than the output voltage to ensure proper regulation.
  5. Output Current:

    • Do not exceed the maximum continuous output current of 1A to avoid damage to the device.
  6. Operating Temperature:

    • Ensure that the operating temperature remains within the specified range of -40°C to 125°C to maintain reliable performance.
  7. Storage Temperature:

    • Store the device in an environment where the temperature ranges from -65°C to 150°C to prevent degradation.
  8. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical stress and static discharge, which can damage the internal components.
  9. Testing:

    • Before connecting the device to a live circuit, test it with a known good setup to ensure it is functioning correctly.
  10. Compliance:

    • Ensure that the device meets all relevant safety and regulatory standards for your application.
