Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure the LED is mounted with the correct polarity.
    • Use a flat surface to mount the LED to ensure good thermal contact.
  2. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the anode (longer lead) to the positive terminal.
    • Connect the cathode (shorter lead or flat side) to the negative terminal.
  3. Forward Current:

    • Do not exceed the maximum forward current (I_F) of 30 mA continuously.
    • For pulse operation, do not exceed 150 mA for short durations.
  4. Reverse Voltage:

    • The reverse breakdown voltage (V_BR) should not be exceeded to prevent damage.
  5. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation to keep the operating temperature within the specified range (-40°C to 85°C).
  6. Environmental Conditions:

    • Store the LED in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
    • Ensure the storage temperature does not exceed 100°C.
  7. Handling:

    • Handle the LED with care to avoid mechanical stress.
    • Use anti-static precautions to prevent electrostatic discharge damage.
  8. Optical Considerations:

    • The viewing angle is typically between 60° and 70°. Position the LED accordingly to achieve the desired light distribution.
  9. Testing:

    • Test the LED at room temperature using a current-limited power supply to avoid exceeding the maximum ratings.
  10. Compliance:

    • Ensure the LED complies with all relevant safety and regulatory standards for your application.
