Instructions for Use:
Handling:
- Handle with care to avoid damage.
- Use appropriate ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection when handling.
Mounting:
- Ensure the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is clean and free from contaminants.
- Apply solder paste to the pads before placing the resistor.
- Place the resistor on the board using a pick-and-place machine or manually.
- Reflow solder according to the recommended temperature profile for SMD components.
Soldering:
- Preheat the board to 150°C ± 10°C.
- Ramp up the temperature at a rate of 2-3°C per second.
- Peak temperature should be between 230°C and 250°C.
- Maintain the peak temperature for 3-5 seconds.
- Cool down the board at a rate of 3-5°C per second.
Inspection:
- Visually inspect the solder joints for proper wetting and absence of voids or bridges.
- Use X-ray inspection if necessary to ensure internal connections are secure.
Storage:
- Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
- Use within 12 months of receipt for optimal performance.
Testing:
- Measure the resistance using a multimeter to ensure it falls within the specified tolerance.
- Test the power rating by applying the maximum rated voltage and monitoring the temperature rise.
