Instructions:

  1. Mounting:

    • Place the LC3664RL on the PCB with the correct orientation as indicated by the silkscreen.
    • Ensure that the leads are soldered securely to the PCB pads.
  2. Input Capacitor:

    • Connect a 1μF ceramic capacitor between the input pin (VIN) and ground (GND) as close to the regulator as possible to ensure stability.
  3. Output Capacitor:

    • Connect a 1μF ceramic capacitor between the output pin (VOUT) and ground (GND) to maintain output stability.
  4. Thermal Management:

    • If operating at high output currents, ensure adequate heat dissipation by using a heatsink or a larger copper area on the PCB.
  5. Power-On Sequence:

    • Apply the input voltage (VIN) slowly to avoid inrush current issues.
    • Monitor the output voltage (VOUT) to ensure it stabilizes at 3.3V.
  6. Overcurrent and Thermal Protection:

    • The LC3664RL includes overcurrent and thermal shutdown protection. In case of an overload, the device will automatically shut down to prevent damage.
  7. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool place within the specified storage temperature range to prevent damage.
  8. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the internal components. Use proper ESD protection measures.
