Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Connect the power supply to the VDD pin and ground to the GND pin.
  2. Input Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the IN pin. The input voltage can range from 0V to 80V.
    • Ensure the input voltage does not exceed 85V to avoid triggering overvoltage protection.
  3. Output Connection:

    • Connect the load to the OUT pin. The device can provide a maximum continuous output current of 5mA.
    • For higher current applications, consider using an external transistor or amplifier.
  4. Shutdown Control:

    • To put the device into shutdown mode, pull the SHDN pin low. The shutdown current is typically 0.5μA.
    • To activate the device, pull the SHDN pin high or leave it floating.
  5. Thermal Management:

    • Monitor the operating temperature to ensure it stays within the -40°C to 125°C range.
    • If the device temperature exceeds 160°C, thermal shutdown will be activated to prevent damage.
  6. Overvoltage and Under-voltage Protection:

    • The device has built-in overvoltage protection that disconnects the load if the input voltage exceeds 85V.
    • Under-voltage lockout (UVLO) ensures the device turns off when VDD falls below 1.2V to 1.4V.
  7. Response Time:

    • The response time for the device to react to changes in input voltage is typically 20μs to 40μs for rise time and 10μs to 20μs for fall time.
  8. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool environment with temperatures between -65°C and 150°C.
    • Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge and physical damage.

By following these parameters and instructions, you can ensure reliable operation of the ZXCT1009FTA.
