Instructions:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure the diode bridge is mounted on a heat sink if operating at high currents to maintain junction temperature within the specified range.
    • Use a thermal compound between the diode and the heat sink to improve thermal conductivity.
  2. Soldering:

    • Preheat the PCB to 100°C to 150°C before soldering.
    • Soldering temperature should not exceed 300°C.
    • Soldering time should not exceed 10 seconds per lead.
  3. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the AC input to the two center terminals (pins 2 and 3).
    • Connect the positive output to the anode terminal (pin 1).
    • Connect the negative output to the cathode terminal (pin 4).
  4. Handling:

    • Handle with care to avoid mechanical stress on the leads and body.
    • Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  5. Testing:

    • Test the diode bridge using a multimeter set to the diode test mode to ensure proper functionality.
    • Check for continuity between the appropriate pins as per the pin configuration.
  6. Safety:

    • Ensure the diode bridge is properly insulated to prevent electrical shock.
    • Use appropriate fuses or circuit breakers to protect against overcurrent conditions.
