Instructions for Use:
Input Connection:
- Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the positive terminal and ground to the negative terminal.
- Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (4.5V to 42V).
Output Connection:
- Connect the output voltage (VOUT) to the load.
- The output voltage is fixed at 5V.
Heat Dissipation:
- For optimal performance, ensure adequate heat dissipation, especially when operating at high output currents.
- Use a heatsink if necessary to maintain the junction temperature below the maximum operating temperature.
Capacitors:
- Use appropriate input and output capacitors to stabilize the circuit and reduce ripple.
- Recommended values: 10μF ceramic capacitor on the input and 10μF ceramic capacitor on the output.
Layout Considerations:
- Keep the input and output capacitors as close as possible to the PM100RLB060 to minimize parasitic inductance.
- Use wide traces for power connections to reduce resistance and voltage drop.
Protection:
- The PM100RLB060 includes built-in overcurrent and thermal protection.
- Do not exceed the maximum output current or operating temperature to avoid damage.
