Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the positive supply voltage (VCC) to pin 8.
    • Connect the ground (GND) to pin 4.

    • Set the desired output voltage by applying the appropriate digital code to these pins.
  3. Reference Voltage:

    • The internal reference voltage (VREF) is 2.5V and is available on pin 5.
    • This can be used as a reference for other circuits if needed.
  4. Load Connection:

    • Connect the load between the output (pin 7) and ground (pin 4).
    • Ensure the load current does not exceed ±10mA to avoid damaging the device.
  5. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating near the maximum power dissipation.
    • The device is designed to operate within the temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
  6. Stability:

    • The device is stable with a wide range of capacitive loads.
    • For best performance, use a bypass capacitor (0.1μF) between VCC and GND close to the device.
  7. Programming the DAC:

    • The DAC input is a 3-bit binary code applied to pins 1, 2, and 3.
    • The output voltage is calculated as VOUT = VREF * (DAC Code / 7), where the DAC Code ranges from 0 to 7.
  8. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool place within the temperature range of -65°C to +150°C.
