Instructions for Use:

1. Mounting:

   • Ensure that the diode is mounted in a way that it can dissipate heat effectively, especially when operating near its maximum power dissipation.
   • Avoid mechanical stress on the leads during soldering or handling.

2. Soldering:

   • Use a temperature-controlled soldering iron and keep the soldering time as short as possible to prevent thermal damage.
   • Soldering temperature should not exceed 300°C and the duration should be less than 10 seconds.

3. Electrical Connections:

   • Connect the cathode (shorter lead or banded end) to the positive side of the circuit and the anode (longer lead) to the negative side.
   • Ensure that the reverse voltage does not exceed the maximum rated value to avoid breakdown.

4. Thermal Management:

   • If the diode will be operating at high current levels, consider using a heat sink to improve thermal performance.
   • Monitor the junction temperature to ensure it stays within the specified range.

5. Storage:

   • Store the diodes in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and corrosive environments.
   • Handle with care to avoid physical damage to the glass body.

6. Testing:

   • Before installing the diode in a circuit, test it with a multimeter to ensure it is functioning correctly.
   • Check for proper forward and reverse characteristics according to the specifications provided.
