Instructions:

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the input pin of the FSU05A40.
    • Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
  2. Output Configuration:

    • The output voltage (VOUT) can be adjusted by using external resistors.
    • Use the formula ( V_ = 0.8 times (1 + frac) ) to set the desired output voltage, where ( R_1 ) and ( R_2 ) are the resistor values.
  3. Load Connection:

    • Connect the load to the output pins of the FSU05A40.
    • Ensure the load current does not exceed 2.0A continuously.
  4. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation for the device, especially under high load conditions.
    • Consider using a heatsink if the device will operate at or near its maximum current rating.
  5. Shutdown Mode:

    • To enter shutdown mode, pull the SHDN pin low.
    • The quiescent current in shutdown mode is typically 10 μA.
  6. Stability and Filtering:

    • Use appropriate input and output capacitors to ensure stability and reduce ripple and noise.
    • Recommended values: 10 μF ceramic capacitor on the input and 10 μF ceramic capacitor on the output.
  7. Operating and Storage Temperature:

    • Ensure the operating temperature is within -40°C to 85°C.
    • Store the device in a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
  8. Regulation:

    • The load regulation is typically 0.5% from 0 to full load.
    • The line regulation is typically 0.1% from 2.7V to 5.5V input.
  9. Ripple and Noise:

    • The typical ripple and noise at the output is 30 mVpp, with a maximum of 50 mVpp over a 20MHz bandwidth.
