Instructions for Use:
Handling:
- Handle with care to avoid damage to the leads or body.
- Use appropriate ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions to prevent damage.
Mounting:
- Ensure proper alignment of the diode during soldering.
- Soldering temperature should not exceed 260°C for more than 10 seconds.
- Allow sufficient cooling time after soldering to prevent thermal shock.
Operational Limits:
- Do not exceed the maximum reverse voltage (VR) of 15V to avoid breakdown.
- Continuous forward current (IF) should not exceed 1A.
- Peak forward surge current (IFSM) can reach up to 20A but only for short durations.
- Ensure power dissipation (PD) does not exceed 1W to prevent overheating.
Temperature Considerations:
- The operating junction temperature (TJ) should be within the range of -65°C to 150°C.
- Store the diode in an environment where the storage temperature (TSTG) is between -65°C and 150°C.
Testing:
- Test the diode using a multimeter or diode tester to ensure it is functioning correctly before installation.
- Verify forward and reverse characteristics to ensure they meet the specified parameters.
Applications:
- Suitable for use in voltage regulation, clipping, and protection circuits.
- Ideal for applications requiring a stable 6.8V reference point.
