Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the VIN pin.
    • Ensure the input voltage is within the operating range (2.7V to 5.5V).
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the load to the VOUT pin.
    • The output voltage is fixed at 3.3V.
  3. Ground Connection:

    • Connect the ground (GND) pin to the common ground of the circuit.
  4. Capacitors:

    • Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor between VIN and GND as close to the device as possible.
    • Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor between VOUT and GND as close to the device as possible.
  5. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation, especially when operating at high output currents.
    • The thermal resistance (θJA) is 60°C/W, so consider using a heatsink if necessary.
  6. Shutdown Mode:

    • To enter shutdown mode, pull the EN (Enable) pin low.
    • The quiescent current in shutdown mode is typically 1.5μA.
  7. Operating Temperature:

    • The device is rated to operate from -40°C to 85°C.
    • Store the device between -40°C and 125°C.
  8. Ripple Rejection:

    • The device provides 60dB ripple rejection at 1kHz, which helps in maintaining a stable output voltage under varying input conditions.
  9. Load and Line Regulation:

    • The load regulation is 0.5%, ensuring minimal output voltage change with varying load currents.
    • The line regulation is 0.01%/V, ensuring minimal output voltage change with varying input voltages.
  10. Handling Precautions:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
    • Follow standard ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions when handling the device.
