The HC08JK and HC08JL Families are members of the low cost, high-performance M68HC08 Family of 8-bit microcontroller units (MCUs). The M68HC08 Family is based on the customer-specified integrated circuit (CSIC) design strategy. All MCUs in the family use the enhanced M68HC08 central processor unit (CPU08) and available with a variety of modules, memory sizes and types, and package types.

Instructions:
Power Supply:
- Ensure the supply voltage is within the specified range (2.7V to 5.5V).
- Use a stable power source to avoid voltage fluctuations.
Frequency Operation:
- The device operates optimally between 8 MHz and 50 MHz. Ensure the clock signal is stable and within this range.
Current Handling:
- Do not exceed the maximum input current (20 mA) or output current per pin (40 mA) to prevent damage.
- If higher currents are required, consider using external drivers.
Power Dissipation:
- Keep the power dissipation below 600 mW to avoid overheating. Use appropriate heat sinking if necessary.
Temperature Considerations:
- Store the device in temperatures between -40°C and 85°C.
- Operate the device within the same temperature range to ensure reliable performance.
Leakage Current:
- Monitor input and output leakage currents to ensure they do not exceed 5 μA to maintain optimal performance.
Handling:
- Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the internal circuits.
- Follow proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions when handling and soldering the device.
