Full-bridge PWM Microstepping Motor Driver
The A3955SB-T is a DMOS Microstepping Driver with Translator from Allegro MicroSystems. It is a bipolar stepper motor driver IC that is designed to operate bipolar stepper motors in full, half, quarter, and eighth step modes, with output drive capability of up to 35 V and ±2 A. It is a complete microstepping motor driver with built-in translator for easy operation. The translator is the key to the easy implementation of the A3955SB-T. It allows the user to control the motor using a simple step/direction interface. The A3955SB-T is available in a 16-pin DIP package and is designed to operate from a single power supply ranging from 8 V to 40 V. It is capable of driving a wide range of stepper motors, including 2-phase, 1.8°/step and 1.2°/step motors.
