Instructions for Use:
Handling:
- Handle the diode with care to avoid mechanical damage.
- Use proper anti-static precautions to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge.
Mounting:
- Ensure the leads are not bent too close to the body of the diode to avoid stress.
- Soldering should be done quickly to minimize heat exposure to the diode.
- Recommended soldering temperature: 260°C for 10 seconds maximum.
Circuit Design:
- Ensure the circuit design does not exceed the maximum power dissipation of 500 mW.
- Use a suitable resistor to limit the current through the diode when it is used as a voltage regulator.
- The Zener diode should be reverse-biased in the circuit to function correctly.
Storage:
- Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep the diodes in their original packaging until ready for use to protect them from moisture and static.
Testing:
- Use a multimeter to test the diode. In forward bias, the diode should show a low resistance, and in reverse bias, it should show a high resistance.
- For Zener testing, apply the reverse voltage and measure the voltage drop across the diode to ensure it is within the specified Zener voltage range.
