Instructions for Use:
Circuit Connection:
- Connect the input voltage to the "Input" pin.
- Connect the output voltage to the "Output" pin.
- Ground the "Ground" pin.
Heat Dissipation:
- For high current applications, ensure adequate heat sinking to manage thermal resistance and prevent overheating.
- The thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 65°C/W, so calculate the required heatsink based on the power dissipation.
Input Capacitor:
- Place a 0.33 μF tantalum or ceramic capacitor between the input and ground to stabilize the input voltage and reduce ripple.
Output Capacitor:
- Place a 0.1 μF ceramic capacitor between the output and ground to improve transient response and stability.
Power Supply:
- Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (26V to 40V) to avoid damage to the regulator.
Load Regulation:
- The 7824CV maintains a constant output voltage under varying load conditions up to 1.5A.
Line Regulation:
- The output voltage remains stable over a wide range of input voltages.
Storage:
- Store in a dry environment away from extreme temperatures and humidity to prevent damage.
