Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply Connections:

    • Connect VCC to a stable 1.2V supply.
    • Connect VDD to a stable 3.3V supply.
    • Ensure proper decoupling capacitors are placed close to the power pins.
  2. Reset Pin (RSTB):

    • The reset pin is active low. Apply a low pulse to this pin to reset the device.
  3. Clock Input (CLK):

    • Provide a 25 MHz or 50 MHz clock signal to the CLK pin for proper operation.
  4. Interface Configuration:

    • Configure the interface mode (RGMII, RMII, MII, TBI) through the appropriate control registers.
  5. LED Control:

    • Use the LED control registers to configure the link/activity LEDs.
  6. Low Power Mode:

    • Enter low power mode by setting the appropriate bit in the control register.
  7. JTAG Boundary-Scan:

    • Use the JTAG interface for boundary-scan testing and debugging.
  8. ESD Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid ESD damage. Use ESD-safe tools and workstations.
  9. Mounting and PCB Layout:

    • Follow recommended PCB layout guidelines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  10. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation by following the thermal design guidelines provided in the datasheet.
