Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting and Handling:

    • Ensure proper heat sinking to manage junction temperature.
    • Handle with care to avoid damage to the leads and body.
  2. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the anode (A) and cathode (K) terminals correctly to the load circuit.
    • Apply the gate trigger current (IG(T)) to the gate (G) terminal to turn on the device.
  3. Operating Conditions:

    • Do not exceed the maximum ratings for voltage, current, and temperature.
    • Ensure that the peak on-state current does not exceed 1200 A for more than 10 ms.
  4. Thermal Management:

    • Maintain the junction temperature below 125°C to ensure reliable operation.
    • Use appropriate cooling methods such as heatsinks or forced air cooling.
  5. Storage:

    • Store in a dry place within the temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
    • Avoid exposure to corrosive environments.
  6. Testing:

    • Before installation, test the device to ensure it meets the specified parameters.
    • Use a suitable testing setup to avoid damaging the device during testing.
  7. Safety Precautions:

    • Follow all safety guidelines when handling high-voltage and high-current circuits.
    • Ensure proper insulation and grounding to prevent electrical hazards.
