Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect VCC to the positive power supply (4.5V to 5.5V).
    • Connect VSS to ground (0V).
  2. Signal Connections:

    • Address Lines (A0-A12): Connect these to the address bus of your system.
    • Data Lines (D0-D7): Connect these to the data bus of your system.
    • Chip Select (CS): Active low. When CS is low, the device is selected.
    • Write Enable (WE): Active low. When WE is low, a write operation is performed.
    • Output Enable (OE): Active low. When OE is low, the outputs are enabled.
  3. Read Operation:

    • Set the address lines to the desired memory location.
    • Set CS and OE low to enable the device and the outputs.
    • The data at the specified address will appear on the data lines after the access time (tAC).
  4. Write Operation:

    • Set the address lines to the desired memory location.
    • Set the data lines to the data you want to write.
    • Set CS and WE low to initiate the write operation.
    • Maintain WE low for at least the write cycle time (tWC).
  5. Standby Mode:

    • Set CS high to put the device in standby mode, which reduces power consumption.
  6. Temperature Considerations:

    • Ensure that the operating temperature is within the specified range (-40°C to +85°C) to avoid damage or unreliable operation.
  7. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the chip.
    • Follow standard ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions when handling and installing the device.
