Instructions for Use:

1. Circuit Design:

   • Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (4.5V to 28V).
   • Connect the output pin to the load requiring a regulated 5V supply.
   • Place a 10μF electrolytic capacitor between the input and ground pins to stabilize the input voltage.
   • Place a 10μF electrolytic capacitor between the output and ground pins to stabilize the output voltage.

2. Thermal Management:

   • The KR3600-017 can dissipate heat through its TO-220 package. For higher current loads, consider using a heatsink to improve thermal performance.
   • Ensure adequate ventilation or cooling if operating near the maximum temperature limit.

3. Polarity:

   • Pay attention to the polarity of the capacitors and the regulator. Incorrect polarity can damage the device.

4. Testing:

   • Before connecting the load, test the output voltage with a multimeter to ensure it is stable at 5V.
   • Gradually increase the load to check for any voltage drops or instability.

5. Storage:

   • Store the device in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
   • Handle with care to avoid damaging the leads or the body of the regulator.
