Instructions for Using L9110H

  1. Supply Voltage (VCC):

    • The L9110H can operate with a supply voltage ranging from 2.4V to 5.5V. Ensure that the power supply is stable and within this range.
  2. Quiescent Current (IQ):

    • At a supply voltage of 5V, the quiescent current is typically 30μA. This is the current consumed by the IC when no load is connected.
  3. Output Current per Channel (IOUT):

    • Each channel can provide up to 800mA of output current at 5V and 25°C ambient temperature. Ensure that the load does not exceed this limit to avoid damage.
  4. Maximum Power Dissipation (PD):

    • The maximum power dissipation is 1250mW at 25°C ambient temperature. Proper heat sinking may be required if operating near this limit.
  5. Operating Temperature (Toper):

    • The IC can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C. Ensure that the operating environment does not exceed these limits.
  6. Storage Temperature (Tstg):

    • The IC can be stored in temperatures ranging from -55°C to 150°C. However, ensure it is brought to operating temperature before use.
  7. Input High Level Voltage (VIH):

    • The input high level voltage should be between 2.4V and 5.5V to ensure proper operation.
  8. Input Low Level Voltage (VIL):

    • The input low level voltage should be between 0V and 0.8V to ensure proper operation.
  9. Output High Level Voltage (VOH):

    • When no load is connected, the output high level voltage will be between 2.4V and 5.5V.
  10. Output Low Level Voltage (VOL):

    • When a load of 800mA is connected, the output low level voltage will be between 0V and 0.6V.

Additional Notes:

  • Always ensure that the input signals are within the specified voltage levels to prevent damage.
  • Use appropriate decoupling capacitors (e.g., 100nF) close to the power pins to filter out noise and ensure stable operation.
  • For high current applications, consider using external heatsinks or cooling solutions to manage heat dissipation.
