Instructions for Use

  1. Supply Voltage:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the range of 2.5V to 3.6V.
    • Connect the VDD pin to a stable power source.
  2. Ground Connection:

    • Connect the GND pin to the system ground to ensure proper operation.
  3. Input Signal:

    • Apply the input signal to the IN+ and IN- pins.
    • The input sensitivity is 0.2V for 1Vrms output. Adjust the input level accordingly to avoid clipping or under-driving the amplifier.
  4. Output Load:

    • Connect the speaker or load to the OUT+ and OUT- pins.
    • The device is designed to drive a 16Ω load, but it can also handle other impedance loads within its power capability.
  5. Shutdown Mode:

    • To enter shutdown mode, set the SHDN pin to a low logic level.
    • In shutdown mode, the supply current drops to 0.1μA.
  6. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high power levels or in high ambient temperatures.
    • The device is rated for operation from -40°C to 85°C.
  7. Storage:

    • Store the device in a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C to prevent damage.
  8. Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection:

    • Handle the device with ESD precautions to avoid damage.
    • Use grounded wrist straps and static-safe surfaces when handling the device.
  9. PCB Layout:

    • Follow recommended PCB layout guidelines to minimize noise and ensure optimal performance.
    • Place decoupling capacitors close to the VDD and GND pins to filter out high-frequency noise.
  10. Testing:

    • Test the device with a known good signal source and load to verify proper operation.
    • Measure the output power, efficiency, and THD+N to ensure they meet the specified parameters.
