Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VCC) to the VIN pin.
    • Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (2.7V to 5.5V).
  2. Output Configuration:

    • Set the desired output voltage (VOUT) using external resistors or by connecting the FB pin to a fixed voltage divider.
    • The output voltage can be adjusted from 0.8V to 5.0V.
  3. Capacitors:

    • Place a 10μF ceramic capacitor between the VIN pin and ground to ensure stable operation.
    • Place a 10μF ceramic capacitor between the VOUT pin and ground to filter the output and maintain stability.
  4. Shutdown Function:

    • To shut down the device, pull the SHDN pin low. The shutdown current will be approximately 1.0μA.
    • To activate the device, pull the SHDN pin high or leave it floating.
  5. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure proper heat dissipation by placing the device on a PCB with adequate copper area or a heatsink if necessary.
    • Monitor the junction temperature to ensure it does not exceed the maximum operating temperature.
  6. Efficiency:

    • The device is designed to operate efficiently, typically achieving up to 95% efficiency under nominal conditions.
    • Optimize the layout and component selection to maximize efficiency.
  7. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry environment within the specified storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
    • Handle the device with care to avoid damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
