Instructions for TLE7236SE

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VCC) is within the range of 4.5V to 5.5V.
    • Use appropriate decoupling capacitors (typically 100nF and 10μF) close to the power pins to reduce noise and improve stability.
  2. Output Current:

    • The device can provide a continuous output current of up to 1.5A per channel.
    • For pulse applications, the peak output current can be up to 2.5A with a pulse width of ≤ 1 ms and a duty cycle of ≤ 1%.
  3. Thermal Management:

    • Monitor the thermal shutdown temperature (TSD) which is typically around 160°C to 180°C.
    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation by using a heatsink if necessary, especially in high-current applications.
  4. Operating and Storage Temperature:

    • The operating temperature range (TA) is from -40°C to 125°C.
    • The storage temperature range (TSTG) is from -65°C to 150°C.
  5. Quiescent Current:

    • The quiescent current (IQ) is typically 10mA and should not exceed 20mA when all outputs are off.
  6. Short-Circuit Protection:

    • The device has built-in short-circuit protection that limits the output current to 1.5A to 2.0A and will auto-restart after 100ms.
  7. Under-Voltage and Over-Voltage Protection:

    • The under-voltage lockout (UVLO) activates at 4.0V to 4.2V, preventing operation below this threshold.
    • Over-voltage protection (OVP) ensures the device does not operate above 6.0V.
  8. Handling and Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
    • Handle with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the device.
  9. Application Notes:

    • Refer to the datasheet for detailed application notes and circuit diagrams to ensure proper integration into your design.
    • Consider using external components like flyback diodes for inductive loads to protect the device from back EMF.
