Instructions for Use:

  1. Input Voltage (VIN):

    • Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V to avoid damage to the device.
  2. Output Voltage (VOUT):

    • The XC6202P502MR provides a fixed output voltage of 5.0V. No external components are required for setting the output voltage.
  3. Output Current (IOUT):

    • The maximum continuous output current is 200mA. Do not exceed this limit to prevent overheating and potential damage.
  4. Quiescent Current (IQ):

    • The quiescent current is typically 2.0μA and can go up to 5.0μA at no load. This low current consumption makes it suitable for battery-powered applications.
  5. Dropout Voltage (VDROP):

    • The dropout voltage is 0.3V at an output current of 100mA. This means the input voltage must be at least 0.3V higher than the output voltage to maintain regulation.
  6. Load Regulation:

    • The load regulation is 0.5% from 0mA to 200mA, ensuring stable output voltage over a wide range of load conditions.
  7. Line Regulation:

    • The line regulation is 0.05% over the input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, maintaining a consistent output voltage despite variations in input voltage.
  8. Ripple Rejection:

    • The device offers 70dB ripple rejection from 100Hz to 100kHz, effectively filtering out noise from the input power supply.
  9. Operating Temperature (TA):

    • The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. Ensure the ambient temperature stays within this range to avoid performance degradation or damage.
  10. Storage Temperature (TSTG):

    • The storage temperature range is -40°C to 150°C. Store the device in a dry and cool environment to prevent damage.
  11. Thermal Resistance (θJA):

    • The thermal resistance from junction to air is 220°C/W. Proper heat dissipation measures should be taken if the device is expected to operate near its maximum output current.

Additional Notes:

  • Capacitors:
    • Use a 1μF ceramic capacitor on the input side and a 1μF ceramic capacitor on the output side for stability and noise reduction.
  • PCB Layout:
    • Keep the PCB traces short and wide to minimize inductance and resistance, which can affect performance.
  • Mounting:
    • Mount the device with adequate clearance to ensure proper heat dissipation, especially in high-current applications.
