Instructions for Use:
Mounting:
- Ensure that the diode bridge is mounted on a heat sink if operating at high currents to maintain junction temperature within safe limits.
- Use thermal compound between the diode bridge and the heat sink to improve thermal conductivity.
Electrical Connections:
- Connect the AC input to the two input terminals (typically marked as ~ or 1 and 3).
- Connect the DC output to the positive (marked + or 2) and negative (marked - or 4) terminals.
Surge Current Handling:
- The diode bridge can handle peak surge currents up to 120 A for short durations (8.3 ms single half sine wave). Ensure that the surge current does not exceed this limit to avoid damage.
Thermal Management:
- Monitor the temperature of the diode bridge during operation. If the temperature exceeds the maximum junction temperature, reduce the load or improve cooling.
Storage:
- Store the diode bridge in a dry, cool place within the storage temperature range (-65°C to +175°C).
Handling:
- Handle the diode bridge with care to avoid mechanical damage. Do not apply excessive force to the leads.
Testing:
- Before installation, test the diode bridge using a multimeter to ensure it is functioning correctly. Check for continuity between the appropriate terminals.
Compliance:
- Ensure that the diode bridge meets all relevant safety and regulatory standards for your application.
