Instructions for Use:

  1. Input Voltage (VIN):

    • Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Avoid exceeding the maximum input voltage to prevent damage.
  2. Output Voltage (VOUT):

    • The output voltage is fixed at 3.3V. No external components are required for this setting.
  3. Output Current (IOUT):

    • The device can provide up to 3.0A of output current.
    • For reliable operation, keep the output current below 3.0A.
  4. Quiescent Current (IQ):

    • The quiescent current is typically around 20μA but can go up to 40μA.
    • This current is drawn even when there is no load on the output.
  5. Dropout Voltage (VDROPOUT):

    • The dropout voltage is the minimum difference between the input and output voltages required for the regulator to maintain regulation.
    • At an output current of 300mA, the dropout voltage is typically 200mV and can go up to 300mV.
  6. Load Regulation:

    • The load regulation is the change in output voltage as the load current changes.
    • It is typically 1% and can vary up to 2%.
  7. Line Regulation:

    • The line regulation is the change in output voltage as the input voltage changes.
    • It is typically 0.1% per volt and can vary up to 0.2%.
  8. Ripple Rejection:

    • The ripple rejection is the ability of the regulator to reduce input ripple at the output.
    • It is typically 70dB and can vary from 60dB to 80dB at 1kHz.
  9. Operating Temperature (TOPR):

    • The device is designed to operate within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
    • Ensure the ambient temperature does not exceed these limits.
  10. Storage Temperature (TSTG):

    • The device can be stored in temperatures ranging from -65°C to 150°C.
    • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures for extended periods.

Additional Notes:

  • Always use appropriate decoupling capacitors on both the input and output sides to ensure stable operation.
  • Ensure proper heat dissipation if operating at high output currents or in high ambient temperatures.
