Instructions for Use:
Input Voltage (VIN):
- Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
- Avoid exceeding the maximum input voltage to prevent damage.
Output Voltage (VOUT):
- The output voltage is fixed at 3.3V. No external components are required for this setting.
Output Current (IOUT):
- The device can provide up to 3.0A of output current.
- For reliable operation, keep the output current below 3.0A.
Quiescent Current (IQ):
- The quiescent current is typically around 20μA but can go up to 40μA.
- This current is drawn even when there is no load on the output.
Dropout Voltage (VDROPOUT):
- The dropout voltage is the minimum difference between the input and output voltages required for the regulator to maintain regulation.
- At an output current of 300mA, the dropout voltage is typically 200mV and can go up to 300mV.
Load Regulation:
- The load regulation is the change in output voltage as the load current changes.
- It is typically 1% and can vary up to 2%.
Line Regulation:
- The line regulation is the change in output voltage as the input voltage changes.
- It is typically 0.1% per volt and can vary up to 0.2%.
Ripple Rejection:
- The ripple rejection is the ability of the regulator to reduce input ripple at the output.
- It is typically 70dB and can vary from 60dB to 80dB at 1kHz.
Operating Temperature (TOPR):
- The device is designed to operate within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
- Ensure the ambient temperature does not exceed these limits.
Storage Temperature (TSTG):
- The device can be stored in temperatures ranging from -65°C to 150°C.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures for extended periods.
Additional Notes:
- Always use appropriate decoupling capacitors on both the input and output sides to ensure stable operation.
- Ensure proper heat dissipation if operating at high output currents or in high ambient temperatures.
