Instructions for Use:
Mounting:
- Ensure proper heat sinking to maintain the junction temperature within the specified range.
- Use appropriate mounting hardware to secure the device.
Wiring:
- Connect the anode (A) to the positive side of the circuit.
- Connect the cathode (K) to the negative side of the circuit.
Surge Handling:
- The device can handle non-repetitive peak forward surge currents up to 120A for 8.3/400μs pulses. Ensure that the surge conditions do not exceed these limits.
Thermal Management:
- Monitor the junction temperature to ensure it does not exceed 150°C. Proper thermal management is crucial for reliable operation.
Reverse Voltage:
- Do not apply reverse voltages exceeding 45V to avoid damage to the device.
Forward Current:
- The maximum average forward rectified current is 12A at a case temperature of 75°C. Ensure that the current does not exceed this value to prevent overheating.
Storage:
- Store the device in a dry environment with temperatures between -65°C and 150°C to maintain its performance characteristics.
Testing:
- Before installation, perform a visual inspection to ensure there are no physical damages.
- Test the device using standard diode testing procedures to verify its functionality.
Handling:
- Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical stress or damage to the leads.
- Use anti-static precautions to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage.
