Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Connect the VDD pin to the power source and GND pin to ground.
  2. Temperature Considerations:

    • The device is designed to operate within an ambient temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
    • Ensure proper heat dissipation if operating at higher temperatures.
  3. LED Connections:

    • Connect each LED to one of the 9 individually controllable channels.
    • Do not exceed the maximum output current of 60mA per channel.
  4. I2C Interface:

    • Use the I2C interface to communicate with the device.
    • Set the I2C bus speed to either 100kbps or 400kbps depending on your application requirements.
  5. PWM Control:

    • Utilize the 16-bit PWM resolution to control the brightness of each LED channel.
    • Configure the PWM settings via the I2C interface.
  6. Standby and Shutdown Modes:

    • To enter standby mode, set the appropriate register bit. The device will consume approximately 1μA.
    • To enter shutdown mode, set the appropriate register bit. The device will consume approximately 0.1μA.
  7. Power-On Reset:

    • After applying power, the device will perform a power-on reset, which takes approximately 10ms.
    • Do not send commands to the device during this time.
  8. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure the thermal resistance (θJA) does not exceed 120°C/W to prevent overheating.
    • Use a heatsink or other cooling methods if necessary.
