Instructions for Use:

  1. Supply Voltage (VCC):

    • Ensure the supply voltage is within the range of 4.5V to 20.0V to avoid damage to the IC.
  2. Output Current per Phase (IOUT):

    • The continuous output current per phase should not exceed 2.0A. For optimal performance, keep it below 1.0A.
  3. Peak Output Current (IPEAK):

    • The peak output current can go up to 3.5A, but it should be kept below 3.0A to ensure reliability.
  4. Operating Temperature (TOPR):

    • The operating temperature range is from -40°C to 85°C. Ensure proper heat dissipation if operating near the upper limit.
  5. Thermal Shutdown (TSD):

    • The IC will shut down if the internal temperature exceeds 150°C to prevent thermal damage.
  6. Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO):

    • The IC will enter a shutdown state if the supply voltage drops below 3.8V to protect against low-voltage conditions.
  7. Standby Current (ISBY):

    • In standby mode, the current consumption is typically around 10μA when the input voltage is 5V and there is no load.
  8. Input Capacitance (CIN):

    • Use an input capacitor of approximately 100pF to stabilize the input voltage and filter out noise.
  9. Output Capacitance (COUT):

    • An output capacitor of around 220μF is recommended to stabilize the output voltage and improve transient response.
