Instructions for Use:
Input Voltage (VIN):
- Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
- Avoid applying voltages outside this range to prevent damage to the device.
Output Voltage (VOUT):
- The BP2867G provides a fixed output voltage of 3.3V.
- No external components are required for setting the output voltage.
Output Current (IOUT):
- The device can supply up to 600mA continuously.
- For higher current requirements, consider using a more powerful regulator or parallel operation.
Quiescent Current (IQ):
- The quiescent current is typically 2.5μA when the input voltage is 3.3V and there is no load.
- This low quiescent current makes the device suitable for battery-powered applications.
Dropout Voltage (VDROPOUT):
- The dropout voltage is typically 200mV at an output current of 300mA with an input voltage of 3.3V.
- Ensure that the input voltage is at least 200mV higher than the output voltage to maintain regulation.
Load Regulation:
- The load regulation is typically 1% over the output current range from 0mA to 600mA.
- This indicates the stability of the output voltage under varying load conditions.
Line Regulation:
- The line regulation is typically 0.1%/V over the input voltage range from 2.7V to 5.5V.
- This indicates the stability of the output voltage under varying input conditions.
Ripple Rejection:
- The ripple rejection is typically 60dB at a frequency of 100Hz.
- This helps in filtering out noise from the input power supply.
Operating Temperature (TOPR):
- The device can operate within the temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high temperatures or high currents.
Storage Temperature (TSTG):
- The device can be stored within the temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures for extended periods.
Additional Notes:
Capacitors:
- Use a 1μF ceramic capacitor on the input side and a 1μF ceramic capacitor on the output side for stability and noise reduction.
- Place these capacitors as close as possible to the regulator to minimize parasitic inductance.
PCB Layout:
- Ensure proper PCB layout to minimize noise and improve thermal performance.
- Use wide traces for power lines and ground to reduce resistance and inductance.
Thermal Management:
- If the device is expected to operate at high currents or in high ambient temperatures, consider adding a heatsink or using a larger PCB area for heat dissipation.
