Instructions for Use:
- Mounting: Ensure the BT131-600 is securely mounted to avoid mechanical stress on the leads. Use appropriate mounting hardware if necessary.
- Heat Dissipation: The device has a maximum power dissipation of 625 mW at 25°C ambient temperature. Ensure adequate heat sinking or cooling if operating near this limit.
- Voltage Handling: The reverse breakdown voltage is rated at 600V. Do not exceed this voltage to prevent damage to the device.
- Current Handling: The maximum RMS on-state current is 1A. For peak currents, do not exceed 10A for pulses of 8.3ms duration.
- Gate Triggering: The gate trigger current should be between 10μA and 50μA to ensure reliable operation.
- Temperature Range: The device can operate from -40°C to 125°C. Store the device between -40°C and 150°C.
- Handling Precautions: Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the sensitive components. Use ESD protection where necessary.
- Soldering: Follow standard soldering procedures to avoid thermal shock. Preheat the device to reduce thermal stress during soldering.
