Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • The AD622ARZ operates with a single supply voltage ranging from 2.7V to 36V or dual supplies from ±1.35V to ±18V.
    • Ensure the power supply is stable and within the specified range to avoid damage to the device.
  2. Gain Configuration:

    • The gain is set using an external resistor (RG) connected between pins 1 and 8.
    • The gain equation is given by: AV = 1 + (50 kΩ / RG).
    • For example, to achieve a gain of 1000, use RG = 50 kΩ / (1000 - 1) ≈ 50 Ω.
  3. Input Connections:

    • Connect the input signals to the non-inverting (pin 3) and inverting (pin 2) inputs.
    • Ensure the common-mode voltage (VCM) is within the input common-mode range, which is typically from (VCC - 1.5V) to (VEE + 1.5V).
  4. Output Connections:

    • The output is available at pin 6.
    • The output voltage swing is typically ±13V with a 10 kΩ load.
  5. Grounding:

    • Connect the ground (pin 4) to the system ground to ensure proper operation and minimize noise.
  6. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high temperatures or under high power conditions.
    • Refer to the thermal resistance data in the datasheet for more details.
  7. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
    • Handle with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the sensitive components.
  8. Testing:

    • Before integrating the AD622ARZ into a circuit, test it on a breadboard or evaluation board to ensure it meets the required specifications.
