Instructions for TLP350 DIP-8 TOS

  1. Mounting and Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical damage.
    • Ensure proper grounding during handling to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD).
  2. Soldering:

    • Use a soldering iron with a temperature not exceeding 300°C.
    • Soldering time should not exceed 10 seconds per pin.
    • Allow the device to cool down before testing or operation.
  3. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the anode (pin 1) and cathode (pin 4) to the input circuit.
    • Connect the collector (pin 5) and emitter (pin 8) to the output circuit.
    • Ensure that the input current (IF) does not exceed 30 mA continuously and 100 mA for short pulses.
    • The output collector current (IC) should not exceed 10 mA.
  4. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high temperatures.
    • Avoid exceeding the maximum operating temperature (105°C) and storage temperature (125°C).
  5. Isolation:

    • Maintain the isolation voltage (5000 V) between the input and output circuits to ensure safety and performance.
  6. Testing:

    • Test the device under controlled conditions to verify its performance.
    • Measure the forward voltage (VF) and output collector-emitter saturation voltage (VCE(sat)) to ensure they fall within the specified ranges.
  7. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
    • Use appropriate packaging to protect the device from physical damage and ESD.

By following these instructions, you can ensure optimal performance and longevity of the TLP350 DIP-8 TOS.
